Every story idea I’ve had has started the same way—with the thought: this is the kind of book I need right now. At different points in my life, the answers have looked different, but they’ve always lived on the shelves of fiction.
What I love most about storytelling is that it offers just enough: a character facing familiar obstacles, a glimpse of how they move through the world. The rest—their quirks, routines, and even how their story continues beyond the final page—is left to your imagination.
That freedom makes fiction more comforting to me than biographies, where the ending is already written, or social media, where the stories are too polished to feel real.
Fiction is a safe space. A little escape. A place that’s familiar yet magical. Sometimes the characters feel like old friends, sometimes they drive you crazy—but always, they come alive in worlds just tilted enough from our own to feel like wonder.
Maybe you’ll love my characters. Maybe you’ll roll your eyes at them. Either way, I’m glad you’re here. Welcome to my imagination.
With love,
